Prayer for Protection of Children

Saint Michael the Archangel, valiant prince of the heavenly armies, I come to you today as a parent entrusting what is most precious to me. Stand guard over my children, body and soul, and let no harm, no danger, no evil influence come near them. You who once fought and cast down the ancient serpent, fight still for the innocence of these little ones in a world that too often wounds it. Walk beside them on the playground and in the classroom, on the road and in their dreams, wherever my own hands cannot reach. Shield their hearts from cruelty, their minds from every darkness that seeks to lead them astray, and their souls from the enemy who prowls seeking the weak and the unguarded. Give them courage to choose what is good, and keep them always within the embrace of God's grace. Saint Michael, defender of the defenseless, watch over my children as your own, today and every day of their lives. Amen.
