GDPR & Your Data Rights

Last updated: August 5, 2026

If you're located in the European Economic Area or the UK, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you specific rights over your personal data. This page explains those rights and how to exercise them on Find My Prayers — it works alongside, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process the limited personal data described in our Privacy Policy (your email, and any content you choose to save, rate, or comment on) either because it's necessary to provide the account features you've asked to use (contract), or based on your consent when you create an account or subscribe to updates. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct it if it's inaccurate; request its erasure ("the right to be forgotten"); restrict or object to certain processing; and receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority at any time.

How to Exercise These Rights

Use the contact form to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. We'll respond to verified requests within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your saved prayers, comments, and profile information from our systems.

Data Retention

We keep your account data only as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, associated personal data is removed within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain limited records for legal reasons.

International Data Transfers

Our infrastructure providers (Supabase and Cloudflare) may process and store data outside the country you're located in, including in the United States. Where this happens, it's covered by those providers' own data protection safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Contact

Questions about this page or how your data is handled can be sent through the contact form, the same as any other inquiry.
