Prayer for Protection from Harm

Saint Michael the Archangel, great prince of the heavenly host, who cast down the ancient serpent and guards the children of God from every danger, stand watch over me and those I love this day. I am aware of dangers I can see and threats I cannot, and I place myself under your strong protection, trusting in the shield of your sword raised against every evil. Drive far from me the harm that seeks my body, and drive far from my soul the evil that seeks my ruin. Walk before me on the road, stand behind me in the dark, and guard the door of my home and the door of my heart. When danger draws near, be swift to my defense, as you were swift in the war of heaven. Saint Michael, keep me safe under your shield, until I rest secure in the peace of God alone. Amen.
