Delete Your Account
You can delete your Find My Prayers account, and the data stored with it, at any time. This page explains how to do it from inside the mobile app, how to request deletion if you can't sign in, exactly what is removed, and what is not.
Delete your account in the app
Open the Find My Prayers mobile app and go to Account, or open Settings and choose Delete account. Before the deletion runs you'll be asked to type a short confirmation word, because it cannot be undone. Once you confirm, your account and everything listed below are deleted straight away and you are signed out.
If you can't access the app
If you've lost access to your device, or you can't sign in, you can ask us to delete your account instead. Use the contact form and send your message from the email address the account uses, or tell us which address it is, so we can confirm the request is really yours. We don't need your password, and we will never ask you for it. We answer verified deletion requests within 30 days.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes your sign-in record and profile details — your email address, and your name or profile picture if you signed in with Google — together with everything stored against that account: your saved prayers, your saved and highlighted Bible verses, the ratings you've given, the comments you've written, any reports you've filed about other people's content, and your list of blocked users. Your comments disappear from the site along with your account.
What may remain
Prayer intentions posted on the Prayer Wall are anonymous. They are never stored against an account, so nothing connects them to you and there is nothing to remove when your account goes — the same is true of the counts showing how many people have prayed for each one. Messages you've sent us through the contact form are kept separately from your account, as our record of that conversation. We may also keep limited records where the law requires it. If you'd like a particular prayer intention taken down, describe it to us through the contact form and we can remove the intention itself.
This cannot be undone
Account deletion is permanent. There is no grace period, and we have no way to restore a deleted account or anything that was saved in it. If you want to keep something you've saved, do that first. You're welcome to create a new account whenever you like, but it will start empty.
