Watching parents age brings its own particular tenderness and worry. This prayer asks God to watch over them and to guide the adult children caring for them.
Lord, watch over my parents as they grow older. Give them health where possible, dignity always, and peace with the changes age brings. Help me be patient and present with them, even when it's hard, and grant me no regrets when the time comes to say goodbye. Saint Anne, grandmother of Jesus, watch over our family. Amen.
