Advent Prayer for Hope
Waiting in hope for the coming of Christ
1 min read
Advent is a season of waiting, and this prayer asks God to keep hope alive through the waiting, just as Israel once waited for the promised Messiah.
Lord, as the Church waits through Advent, I wait too — for your presence to be renewed in my own life, and for whatever I am still hoping for that has not yet come. Teach me to wait as Israel once waited, in patient hope rather than restless worry. Come, Lord Jesus, into the ordinary days of this season. Amen.
