Prayers to Saint Thérèse of Lisieux
Prayer for Clarity About the Future
GuidanceSaint Thérèse of Lisieux, little flower who trusted God even when the way ahead was hidden from you, help me now as I stand before a decision I do not know how to make. My mind turns the question over and over, weighing paths that each seem uncertain, and I long for a clarity I cannot give myself. Pray that the Holy Spirit will settle the confusion in my heart and show me, in his time, which door he is opening. Help me to stop grasping for certainty and instead rest in small, faithful steps, trusting that God's will unfolds gradually rather than all at once. Give me courage to choose without fear, knowing that a heart surrendered to him cannot go entirely astray. Amen.
Prayer When I Feel Alone
LonelinessSaint Thérèse of Lisieux, who found God present in the smallest, most hidden moments of an ordinary life, be near to me in this loneliness. The silence around me feels heavy, and I wonder sometimes if anyone truly sees me. You believed that no act of love, however small, ever goes unnoticed by God, and that He is never as far from us as our feelings suggest. Help me to sense His quiet companionship even now, in this empty room, on this ordinary evening. Teach me your Little Way — to find Him in small things, to trust that I am seen and loved even when no one else is near — and remind me that you promised to spend your heaven doing good on earth, and that I am not, after all, alone. Amen.
Prayer for Guidance
GuidanceSaint Thérèse of Lisieux, Little Flower of Jesus, you found holiness not in great deeds but in small acts of love offered faithfully each day. I come to you uncertain of my path, unsure which way to turn. Teach me your Little Way: to trust as a child trusts, to abandon myself into the hands of a loving Father, and to find His will in the ordinary moments of this day. Where I am lost, be my guide; where I am afraid, lend me your confidence in God's tender mercy. Saint Thérèse, you promised to spend your heaven doing good upon earth; let a shower of roses fall upon my path, that I may see clearly the way God calls me to walk. Amen.
