Baptism marks a child's entrance into the life of faith. This prayer, prayed by parents or godparents, entrusts the newly baptized child to God.
Lord, today this child becomes your own through the waters of Baptism. Thank you for washing away original sin and welcoming them into your family, the Church. Help us who love this child to raise them in faith, by word and by example, so that the grace given today grows into a lifetime of knowing you. Amen.
